Ride the Lightning... Always a classic. Not sure if I remember all the words, but I bet I could do a decent job between this album, Master of Puppets, and Justice for All. Fade to Black is still an anthem to ever depressed Metalhead I ever met.

My college roommate knew all their songs on guitar. I got sick of them real fast, but I have revisited them of late, and I can enjoy them now with a bit of distance.

That happens, Camplin, with any overenjoyed thing, I find. There are songs I immediately skip because I'm up to my repeated listening quota on them until about 2017 or so.

Recently, due to Arctic Blast 2007 (i.e. a quarter-inch of sleet upon these Dallas roadways), a much-anticipated night of drinking, fooling around and Sopranos was nixed. Did I sulk? Well, hell yes, I did. And then I did some more. But after that, pouting began to bore me and I hit upon a mission: I was gonna make a goddamn sock monkey. Why the flip did this occur to me?
