Mixed Bag

Although I can theoretically make up any new statement at any time like lemurs banging out Updike novels on word processors, I find myself saying the same things over and over and over. The dumb thing about this is I repeat stuff to people who know me intimately.

"I just can't deal with a militaristic management style."
"It has to be Hellmann's."
"Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me."
"I'd rather roll the dice."

I try not to, but I still do.

Evermore
Wages the war
'Gainst being a confounded
Colossal bore.

Did you ever find yourself sad that a Little Debbie pumpkin cookie was gone?

Well, I just did.

p.s. Go out and find acoustic F*** It Up by Towers of London. Drink lots. Play it. Secret of universe inside.

With every breath I thought I'd had enough.

That's why young people have all the ideas. Why bother risking having a new idea when you got a great store of tried and tested ideas. Incidently, old age is a cure for schizophrenia, I think for this reason.
(i've said all this before in a different context by the way, haven't just thought it up, sigh)

If even paranoids have enemies, what does that say about just plain old schizophrenics?

Hope you have a nice, enemy free weekend

I like that parenthetical part, Helga. ;)

It is, LBB. Genius on the fly. Sometimes it comes that way.

Maybe there are no schizophrenics, Gary. Just people who see what we do not. Scary!!!

I've been reading you long enough to know that not being able to come up with new stuff isn't one of your faults. You always have somehting worthwhile to say. It's just that in some way we all have our own catch-phrases.
Glad to see you back on.

Lemurs banging out Updike novels is such a sweet image. As a novelist who often feels she isn't getting anywhere, I started to wonder if lemurs really could be trained to bang out MY novels?

Thanks, Aza! :)

Glad you stopped by, Emma. I'm still conducting research as to the authoring potential of lemurs. I'll have to get back to you when I know more.

Thanks, Violet. Life's just been kind of a tsunami of late.

No sweat Ari, I say "Life is pain Highness." so often that my friends think surely I've some sort of royalty deal with William Goldman.
(Very nice poem by the way.)
