The Things I See In This Town II

Pants.

Pants and a sock.

Pants that didn't appear to be poop-soiled.

Pants that didn't even appear to be old or much worn.

Not hobo pants.

Just black jean pants.

Right smack in downtown Dallas, not a side street or culvert.

Where people perambulate, not where they sleep on benches or burn barrel fires.

Non-hobo pants, near a cathedral, seen shortly after Chinese New Year.

Crumpled waist down, as if Clark Kent had lost weight, making their fit too loose, and they slipped free of his waist as he raised his arms to the sky, and Super-flew into the blue, a freak gale or greedy grackle snatching a souvenir sock from one foot.

Those are mine. Do you know where they are? I'd like them back. :)

Sorry, Gary, that was months ago. I'll bet some opportunistic person happened by and snatched up the free pants and sock by now, shouting, "Hey! Free Pants!"

hehehehe

that's so odd! Was there a pair of underpants anywhere? or was it just the sock and the pants?
V said…
No underpants that I saw, Jess. Just the sock 'n' pants!

I hope you weren't thinking about taking those pants. Even if they weren't poop-stained, you would be a person that had taken pants off of the street.

Clark's going to be pissed when he realizes he didn't leave them in a phone booth.

Those pants would not EVEN look good on me, Trevor, so no.

Probably so, Aza. I'm not gonna be the one to tell him. I just documented it on the Interweb.

Free pants brighten the darkest day and socks don't just grow on trees--that's what daddy always said... at least I think it was daddy. I guess I'm suddenly not so sure.

At any rate Ari, I like the "Things I see In This Town" series very much.

Thanks, Latty. I'll post more off the wall crap just as soon as possible.

A nice random picture. Art of capturing the every day weird.

Thanks, Camplin. I should start carrying my camera more often.
