"And now, a message from the National Apple Institute..."

"...Fuck Pears."

George Carlin is gone. I trained my comedic chops at the heels of this record (which was actually my brother's, but I played when he wasn't there to pound me). Some of its sweetly bitter sarcasm and incisive wit will remain lodged in my consciousness until I follow along into the great beyond.

May cynical cherubs fly thee to thy rest, sir.

AV: Welcome to the foolishness! Any man who is deeply musical and British is welcome to say hello or comment unknowingly at any time. ;)

I once wore out a Carlin record and had to rebuy it. I played it low so my mom wouldn't take it away like she did "Son of Schmilson". Carlin was the best!!

I love people who are passionate, and he certainly was. I hope he takes that passion with him on his next trip...

H: I have noticed that indeed.

G: My mom would come in and ask me how many more times I was gonna listen to that. "I dunno," I said as I remained hunched near the speaker.

DM: As do I, Dave.

Amen. Loved his wit, had that very tape (we would've had a ball swapping tapes, I swear), and I can't believe he's become living impaired. *sigh*
